Technical Sales Adviser
Salary: negotiable depending on qualifications/experience
Reporting To: Design Manager
Location: Office based in Papworth, Cambridgeshire
Viridian Solar is a leader in manufacture, design and supply of roof-integrated solar panels. With strong growth in demand, we’re expanding our design team to help customers achieve higher levels of energy efficiency in both new-build and refurbishment projects.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers with the design and specification of solar PV systems. If you’re ambitious, detail-oriented and eager to learn, we’ll provide the training, support and opportunities to help you develop.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction and independent working. Experience in Technical Design/Renewable Energy/AutoCAD is valued, but not essential.
What you will be doing
- Create PV design specifications to customer requirements
- Review and create architectural/technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Advise customers by understanding and clarifying their project needs
- Use product knowledge to answer technical questions
- Prepare technical documentation
- Coordinate with the sales team to complete design packages
- Maintain accurate project information within our customer database
- Build customer relationships
- Opportunity for external meetings/presentations
About you
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good level of maths
- Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel)
- An interest in technical design (AutoCAD experience a bonus)
- Collaborative and approachable manner
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects in a structured way
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and willing to learn
